| I currently have no poems published, but I am working on that, for now I have a few poems for you to read for free, with more poems to follow at a later date. Sengoku Jidai This poem is set in ancient Japan, during a time known now as "Sengoku Jidai", which translates to "The Age of the Warring States". It is a period in Japanese history during the 15th - 17th century when the entire country was at war. The titles I have given the characters in the poem are the titles granted to several of the key figures responsible for ending a war that lasted for over 150 years. Waking Up This poem is about a horrific event told through the innocent perspective of a child. Flood This poem was inspired by a conversation with fellow poet, Heather Phillipson, in london in which she suggested trying to do some poetry that wasn't so dark. Something Sublime This is a short poem I wrote while looking through some old photos. |
